Encourage children to begin to understand Jesus’ love and teachings
The mission of Treasure Cove is to provide comprehensive child care and education for children and their families in a Christ-centered environment as we help children develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
We partner with parents to establish biblical foundations in their children’s lives that one day will lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, represented by a life filled with the Fruits of The Holy Spirit.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

Treasure Cove uses modified versions of Horizons, Quirkles (science), and Learning Without Tears. Learning centers, group activities, and music and movement are used to encourage children to learn as they play. Our curriculum is activity-based and child-centered. It encourages creative expression, invites conversation/communication, and provides a flexible schedule within a familiar routine for preschoolers.
A typical day will include a wide variety of learning experiences that incorporate both group activities and independent learning tasks in the area of education, art, music, and story time as well as many opportunities to share Biblical truths.
Teachers will teach through use of conversations, stories, songs, prayer, and Bible stories as preschoolers are involved in activities. Close contact with teachers in the Katy Independent School District is maintained to prepare the preschoolers for kindergarten.
Treasure Cove provides a carefully planned curriculum developed by the director and teachers. Our teachers encourage creative freedom through free play, imaginative play, arts and crafts, music, science, math, and gross and fine motor activities. What may look like play to an observer and feels like play to the child is actually a carefully planned program, developed to build self-confidence, expand understanding, teach responsibility, and increase motor skills. The children enjoy Music & Movement class each day, recess, and chapel twice a month.
Daily activities planned by the individual teachers include:

All Treasure Cove teachers are loving, nurturing, and encouraging role models. Our educators all receive 24 hours of training in child growth and development, developmentally appropriate curriculum, classroom managements, and teacher-child interaction.
They are all background checked and have CPR/First Aid training. Your children are in wonderful hands at Treasure Cove!
Our teachers do a lovely job of preparing your child for kindergarten. We follow the curriculum and standards of Katy ISD. Our assessment form is based off the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills). We plan our curriculum to ensure that the children are prepared for what they will experience in kindergarten. This includes incorporating Learning without Tears which is used in the Katy schools. Our children receive daily phonics work, hands-on math and science lessons, fine and gross motor development, social experiences, processed art activities, and much more that develops the whole child. All parents of our four year olds will have a kindergarten readiness conference with their child’s teacher.
The children do have a Bible lesson in class each day. We cover the Old Testament in the fall semester and the New Testament in the spring semester. The children also gather together to enjoy chapel twice a month. We have a yearly Bible verse. The children complete Bible crafts, learn verses, songs, and act out stories from the Bible.
Your child will be given a school tote to store their daily items. They will need a lunch, snack, and a water bottle. You will also need a change of weather appropriate clothing and diapers, if applicable. Each child needs a personal rest mat. All items need to be labeled.
