The Missions Ministry: Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive
Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Imagine your child asking you what was for dinner, and you did not have an answer because you did not have the resources to put food on the table AND pay rent. Hunger is a very real thing in Katy, Texas. Thousands of adults and kids wonder every day where their next meal will come from.
The Fellowship Missions Ministry is partnering with Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) to attack hunger in Katy, Texas by supporting and sponsoring a special Souper Bowl of Caring food drive; your support makes a huge difference in our community.
On Sunday, January 12th or 19th, you will receive a KCM grocery collection bag during one of our worship services. You can also pick one or more bags up at the Information Desk during the weeks of the food drive.
Our goal is to collect 4000 lbs of non-perishable food items; please use the KCM needs list which will be attached to your KCM collection bag. Return the filled bag to The Fellowship on Sunday, February 9th.
Due to our limited storage space at The Fellowship, please limit your drop-off day to Sunday, February 9th. We will have a collection area and a KCM Food Pantry truck to take all the donated goods straight to KCM on that Sunday.
If you cannot return your collected food items on Sunday, February 9th, you can take them directly to the KCM Food Pantry drop-off location at 3506 Porter Road, Katy, Tx 77493. Drop-off days are Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm. Be sure to tell them your food is part of The Fellowship's Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive, so it gets counted in our total weight of food collected.
