Katy Feed The Hunger Packathon

“Hunger has no ears,” so people have a difficult time hearing the Gospel when they are hungry. Can you imagine the impact of one meal for those without food? Ten meals? 100 meals?  It is more than a meal to so many ... it means that children do not go to school hungry and can focus on their studies ... it means they get to see, hear and experience the Love of God ... and YOU can be a big part of making it happen!

A packathon is a hands-on service opportunity that brings people together to assemble meal packets designed to help malnourished children and families, both overseas and here in America. Beyond the event, your work will go toward providing more and more at-risk children a physical meal every day of the school year and with that, the emotional and spiritual food that comes from being nurtured by our Christian partners overseas.

The Fellowship is partnering with Feed the Hunger and hosting area churches, business, organizations and individuals for this year's Katy Feed the Hunger Packathon - February 23 - 26 which will be held right here at The Fellowship. 

This FUN weekend event (ages 5 - 105) is a food packing event where participants package thousands of nutritious meals (rice, dehydrated veggies, vitamin powder and beans) which are distributed through Feed the Hunger partners to feed children and families in need: locally, nationally and internationally.

This year's goal is 1.000,000 meals. Sound almost impossible?  It is not ... In 2021, we packed 700,000 - we can do this! 

There will be several sessions to choose from:
Wednesday, February 23 (one session) 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Thursday, February 24 (one session) 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Friday, February 25 (three sessions) 1:00 - 3:00 pm, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, 7:30 - 9:30 pm
Saturday, February 26 (four sessions) 9:00 - 11:00 am, 12:00 - 2:00 pm, 3:00 - 5:00 pm

The cost is $60 a person.  A full team of 25 participants is $1500. A half team of 12 is $750.
